Cancellation Policy
Please be sure of your plans before reserving! As a small inn dealing almost exclusively with advance reservations, all date changes and cancellations affect us significantly. Consequently, we require a minimum of two weeks advance notice of any change to your reservation, including a change of dates, change in number of nights, or cancellation. Provided this notice is given, we will refund your deposit less a $55.00 processing fee per room. Without this notice deposits are not refunded.
Please see our guidelines:
- If you cancel before 15 days of your scheduled arrival, a $55 administrative fee will be charged for each room reserved.
- If you cancel within 15 days of your scheduled arrival, a one-night fee (per room) will be charged.
- If you cancel within 3 days of your scheduled arrival, the entire reservation will be charged to your account.
All date changes will be subject to a $55.00 rescheduling fee.
We realize that life and the weather are unpredictable, but we can’t assume responsibility for either! We ask that you carefully consider our cancellation policy before making a reservation with us.
Minimum Stay Requirements
Please note that we do have minimum stay requirements. From July through September – three nights for summer weekends and holidays, two nights the remainder. Occasionally a one-night opportunity appears between existing minimum stay reservations. In this instance a one-night stay is welcome, and our online reservation system will permit the one-night booking. Room selections are at the Innkeeper’s discretion for a one-night stay. Best room available will be offered upon check-in. One night reservations are paid in full in advance and no refund will be possible if booking is canceled. During our shoulder seasons, one night stays are always welcome.
Deposits
For bookings of two or more nights, a 50% deposit is required before your reservation will be confirmed. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and personal checks are accepted. Please note that your balance is due when you check in with us, not when you depart. One night reservations are paid in full in advance and no refund will be possible if booking is canceled.
Check-in / Check-out
Check-in time is between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. Later arrivals can only be arranged with prior notice. As a small inn, we do not have a night clerk and we forward our phone lines after hours. Check-out time is 11am. We are sorry that we are not able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs, and be aware that we have no public restroom. If you arrive early, please visit the Cape May Welcome Center on Lafayette Street where you will find clean restrooms and knowledgeable staff to assist you with maps and information.
Children and Pets
We regret that we cannot accommodate pets, and children under 13 years old are generally happier elsewhere.
